Kamille
I think Kamille is really ready to be in beauty school. She has been doing a lot of practicing on herself. This what she currently looks like. It closely resembles her true hair color. She even cuts her own hair now.
Two weeks ago she was a burnett. I think she can pull both off. It is just hard to keep the roots covered.

Can you tell who this is?
Okay, here are some pictures I ran across today while looking through my pics. Some say that Madie doesn't look like Bailey, but this is actually Bailey when she was around Madie's age. I think they look a lot a like. I guess we better start labelling all the pictures so that years from now we won't get them mixed up. What's your vote?

Twilight
We finally got to go and see the movie "Twilight". It was a late night but Melissa, Kamille and I finally got together and went to the late showing last Saturday night. It was worth it to me though. (I don't know if Melissa thought so though. When she got home at 12:15 am. the lights were still on and she was locked out. Then Bailey heard her up and was up most of the night. Yea, she didn't get much sleep that night.)Posted by Debbie at 2:28 PM 1 comments

Grandpa or 4 Wheelers?
The other day when Bailey was over to visit, she was really restless. She loves to go outside and with the weather being cooler it just doesn't happen enough for her. As you can see in the picture she was a little grumpy until....

Later while playing in her toy box I took a picture of her with a Santa hat. Jake cleaned out his closet a while back and some how this hat ended up in her toy box.

New Windows
One of the things we did with the"harvest" money is buy new windows. I am way excited to have them this winter. We had a few windows that were falling apart so there is no way they won't help the power bill to be a little lower. Chet, Jake, Paul and Travis all helped to install them. With Paul having to go to work and Travis having to go to school, that left Chet and Jake to do most of the work. It took about a week to get them all the way done. Here is a picture of them almost done. Chet still had to put the trim around the edge, but aren't they nice? I didn't even have to clean the fly specks off this fall ;)
Then when Chet was caulking the inside of the windows, Travis and Jake got a little bored and decided to see who could out do each other in being a dork.

Chet used these gloves to keep his hands clean. The boys decided to use them to see if they could invent a new way to blow them up. Travis got his pretty big before it popped.Posted by Debbie at 8:07 PM 6 comments

Picture Tag
This is what you do:
1. Open your picture file
2. Go to the fourth folder
3.Open the fourth picture
4. Post the picture on your blog and write about it.
Okay, here is my picture. It is really old. Yea, I need to clean up my files. Anyways, this was taken in the spring of 2005. It is Jake in his senior year of high school, and they are playing Bear Lake, a tough team. But we beat them, Jake even ran into one of the team players in the MTC and he remembered Jake. Jake struck him out:) A fun memory! I tag Delilas, Kristen, and Lisa

Today we blessed Madison. Her dad gave her a beautiful blessing. She is a lucky girl to be born to such good parents and to have such a great sister who loves her. We got together and had a family picture taken afterwards.
Life has been really busy this past week. After the guys got home from hunting they went right to work putting in our new windows. We still have a little finishing work to do on them, but they had to stop so that we could take Chet's mom to Saint George. That took us four days because she needed Chet to do some work for her. That is the second time I have been down there during the winter and I sure like it. We went swimming two of the nights we were there, outdoors even, and it was really nice!

Purple reigns again
We got to go to Trav's last home game last Wednesday. It was a beautiful day for the middle of October. Travis is no. 57, you can barely make him out on the line. He is the one getting the opponent. They played a Jr. high team from Twin Falls and beat them soundly 46 to 7. The other team didn't score until the fourth quarter when SR put in their second string. Good game guys! This team has been beat only once this year and it was a JV team that had 6 juniors on it. We are a 9Th grade team only, so I think they have done great.
Travis got to come out only a couple of times to get a drink.
His chin sure takes a beating with his chin strap. He doesn't even notice though. He loves the game!

We got a new baby!
This is Bailey with her new sister. Madison was born on September 24th. She weighed only 6 and a half pounds. She is way smaller then Bailey was, although she looks a lot like Bailey when she was born.
I didn't have babies that small. She seems so little compared to what I am used to.
Mom, Dad and baby are all doing well, just a little tired. She was born Cesarean so the healing is going to be a little longer.
Bailey came and hung out at our house during all the excitement. We had lots of fun doing her favorite two things. Jumping on the tramp and blowing bubbles. She had a little static going on. :)Chet drove my truck so I could stay home with her. It was a fun break from harvest.

And she's off!
Kamille headed out this week. She moved to Riverdale on Monday. She is still looking for a job though. But we thought it would be easier to find one if she lived there. It was costing her a lot in gas to go down every few weeks to submit applications. She had a couple of interviews today though so I think she will be getting a job soon. Maybe not her "dream" job, but who gets that lucky when they are just starting out.
Travis wouldn't cooperate for this picture. He was hanging out in my room watching tv. He went to Salmon today for a football game. I just called to see how it went and they won 44 to 0. They have won all three games they have played this year. No one has scored against them yet either. They are a pretty tough team even thought they aren't very big. You know that is true when Travis plays on the line at his size. Not may get by him, he is pretty tough. It will probably be pretty late when he gets home and I haven't seen him since last night, so I will probably wait to see him tonight even though I have to leave at 6:30 tomorrow. We have been starting early because it has been getting too hot during the afternoons and then we have to quit. I have been wearing shorts to work, I don't ever recall doing that in potato harvest before. It is supposed to start cooling off this next week though.

Time to have a little fun!
We took the Saturday before Potatoes and went to Lagoon. Travis took his friend, so that left Chet and I to do what we wanted. We arode all the scary rides and got to see all the sights. Lagoon has a lot of things to look at that I haven't got to see before because the last time I went I had to take the kids on the kiddie rides and keep them happy.
It was a great day! We even found some of my mothers ancester there. Well, their house anyways.
" Chet, I hate this ride!!!" But he made me ride it anyways. I told him I'd ride it once and that is all I did. Never again. I rode a lot of other rides but this one really gets to me. Travis was never around to get a picture. Yea, he's getting to be like his dad and hates his picture taken.

Whew! It's hot out there
Okay, I want to know which is better, Peterbilt, Freightliner, or Kenworth? Here I am in a freightliner with a Peterbilt seat. I really like the seat, but I really don't care what kind of truck I drive in grain harvest as long as the air conditioner works. I am trying a new truck this potato harvest. It has a lot more power so I think I will like it better. It is a 2000 W900 kenworth. It is the biggest truck I've seen so far this harvest. What I mean by biggest is that it is really tall. So it is harder to get into, but then I get a better workout, right?
Here's Bailey and I right after grain harvest. I was making dilly beans , but took a break to blow some bubbles with her. That is her favorite thing to do at grandma's right now. She loves it when I blow the bubbles and she gets to chase them.
So the week I had between grain and potatoes I canned dilly beans, strawberry jam, tomatos, and apple pie filling. So my house isn't looking to good right now. I need a house cleaner too. ( like Delilas) I just keep on thinking how much we will enjoy these during the coming winter.

Travis starts high school in two days! I can't believe it. He is growing up so fast! He turned 15 yesterday. We had a little combined b-day party with Bailey. The grandmas and grandpa came over and we had cake. Travis loves poke cake so that is what we had, with cool whip. He had three or four pieces, including the last piece this morning. He is playing on the freshman football team this year. Well, last Friday he got his nose broke at practice, but that didn't slow him down any. He got right back up and went for another play. By then it started to hurt and it was bleeding everywhere so he had to sit out for a while. He sure had a headache the next day.
I am still in grain harvest so I had better get. I had this morning off but now I have to go at it again.

A Little Getaway
On a whim we threw everything we would need in the pickup and headed to the mountains. It was a perfect weekend to do it as the weather was great. We fished, floated the river, ate and relaxed. We got some great shots at Mesa Falls as well.
The flowers were beautiful for this time of year, probably because of all the rain this spring.
Travis is a ham!!! He found this rock in the river and decided to "surf". He almost got wiped out by a passing tuber though.
Travis took a friend to hang out with and I think they literally wore each other out. They actually went to bed at ten o'clock at night.
Bailey enjoyed herself in the "tub". She wanted to take another bath after she was done with this one.
The sun came out while we were at Mesa Falls and I caught this beautiful shot of a rainbow. I didn't want to leave, but the were leaving me and I had no choice.

A cute shot of Melissa and Paul. Bailey about wore them out the night before.
We had lots of fun and we can't wait to do it again!

Take Me Out to the Ball Games...
Saturday we went to Travis's playoff game. It was a gorgeous day for baseball, yea we haven't had many of those days this year. It was a tight game, the other team being 3 runs up and then we came back and was 2 runs up. It went back forth and ended up being in a tie, so we played an extra inning with a runner on second. We got first try and got two runs in. We were pretty pumped! Well, they came back and beat us when they got three runs in. Yea, a heart breaker. We enjoyed the day anyways. Melissa and Paul came, and of course Bailey did too. She liked to go see her favorite friend in the dugout, and she even made a new friend along the way. Watch out Melissa and Paul!!

A Busy Summer Week
We had a fun and relaxing 4th of July. We went to the beach and chilled. Everyone enjoyed the slightly cooler day. Bailey especially loved the water even if her lips turned blue. Chet fried up some chicken right on the beach with his turkey fryer and we added a couple of salads and had us some lunch. We latter watched the fireworks. It was fun to see Bailey's excitement over the fireworks. She called them sparkles.
I think Travis loves to text more than anything right now. A typical teenager.
We went to Jackson again for another job the following Monday. What a beautiful day! The weather was just right. It way a nice 79 degrees. The skies were blue and a not a bit of wind. Everything went as planned, I mainly went to ride with Paul. He has his CDL permit and can drive if he has a licensed driver with him. He did a great job for as many hills and turns he had to drive through. It was a good experience for him.
This is a picture of them all at work, Jake driving the "chipper", Chet is running the skidster to feed the chipper gravel, Paul is helping guide Jake so he doesn't run off the the pavement. Me, I ran the roller a little until Chet took over to finish faster. I'm a beginner and am pretty slow.
I went with Melissa to her doctor's appointment on Wednesday. Bailey had a checkup as well a little later so we went to lunch in between. I saw this cute bench just outside the restaurant and couldn't resist to shot of her on it. She's so fun.

Yikes! A Bear!
Oh, here we are at girls camp, at girls camp, at girls camp, oh, here we are at girls camp, part of our ward family...No really this is me and some others trying to figure out how to put up a tent that I haven't used for a very long time. We finally got it to stand with a little help from some duct tape. So we were just camping and having a good time, sharing our hidden treats with our secret sisters, ya know the usual girls camp stuff, then on our third morning we heard a disturbing "rumor". A bear had attacked a tent in another ward. Luckily it didn't hurt anyone, just scared them. It was a leader's tent and they had been eating chocolate doughnuts in there. They were just to good to pass up for the bear. Throughout the rest of the day there were actually three different bear sited. I'm glad we had leaders who were inspired to leave because by the time we had everything packed up and was ready to go there was one bear who was getting really brave and came right down into our camp. Some priesthood brethren threw rocks at him to scare him away and we gathered up the last little bit and hit the road. It makes me wonder if any of the other stakes will be going up there this summer. This is a picture of the lady's tent and air mattress after the attack, and also a picture of one of the bears. Thanks to some hungry bears, we will remember this years girls camp for a very long time.
