These are pictures from the Toronto reception that I took, so they are straight out of the camera and are a little dark. In Canada they do things a little different. All guest were treated with a formal sit down dinner, followed by games and a dance. Jake and Nicole started out first with their song, then changed partners and danced with parents then siblings. When that dance was over the rest of the guest were invited to dance too. This family knows how to have fun! They were so welcoming and friendly, we had a really fun time there.
Here is what the tables look like. They changed the colors to blue at the Toronto reception, that way they could use the padded blue chairs. It looked really nice.
Another tradition is to have the couple sit up front facing all the guests, and then when people start "clinking" on their glasses with their forks the couple has to kiss. I don't think they mind the excuse to kiss a lot during the reception :). It was a great meal too, they had roast beef with gravy, chicken, pasta salad, rice with a mushroom sauce, and green salad, followed by fresh fruit and wedding cake. YUMMY!
