My sister, Shelly, and I decided to take a mini vacation with our husbands before they get to busy this spring. We went to St. George, were the weather is a lot warmer then home. It sure felt good to be outside in the sunshine. The guys golfed 36 holes in a two day period, and loved every minute of it. Jake and his friend Kevin joined us as well, since they weren't too far away in Provo.
On our last day there we went to Zions National Park. I have been there 2 other times, but haven't had the time to get out and explore. so this time we took most of a day. We hiked to the Emerald Pools. It was a perfect day for hiking as it wasn't too hot or too cold. The last stage to the upper pool was the hardest and this is a picture of the terrain.
This is one of the water falls we saw, first we walked under the falls and the above the falls. I love the red rocks!
Jake was able to get phone service in some spots and talked to Nicole along the way.
This was a little unnerving to us as parents. They got a big kick out of scaring us though. What a guy! Still a dare devil! We had a great time , but had to come home to catch up on our sleep. Are we getting old or something?
